REFORMER PILATES

We have two Reformer Pilates Studios in Dorset, one at the BASE SPACE in Parkstone and another home studio in Lytchett Matravers.

What Is Reformer Pilates

The reformer is a bed-like frame with a flat platform that rolls back and forth on wheels. Springs provide assistance and resistance. The apparatus is used under the direction of an instructor to help the client achieve optimal muscle length and strength in a fun and safe way.

The Reformer is a great exercise option for people looking to focus on core movements and isolate more muscles than in traditional Pilates, done on a mat. It is a great low-impact option, ideal for injury rehabilitation or for those who want a more personalised exercise programme. The specialised equipment allows for many different modifications to be made so that exercises can focus specifically on the needs of each individual client.

Who can do Reformer Pilates and how do I get started?....

Reformer Pilates is suitable for everyone, you do NOT need any previous Pilates experience to enjoy the benefits of the Reformer.

At BRP our bespoke studio offers 2:1 or 1:1 sessions, in order that each client gets the individualised attention they need. During an initial consultation, the client and Emma will decide on a bespoke training outline specifically to target your individual needs. These can be anything from: core strength and proper muscle engagement, enhancing athletic performance, back pain or injury recovery, weight loss, balance, bone density and posture.

As you progress throughout your training sessions so will your programme outline.
